I've been putting up the achievements on the Spanish UW wiki and noticed you didn't get the chance to finish the ones here, so do you mind if I mess with the achievements at all? So far, the only one of yours I changed was the vampire one, just because I'm so tired of Selene being everywhere. lol
I know you would normally take off any broken links, but do me a favor and leave them on this wiki. I use them to help me see what pages are most in need of being put up when I navigate through the Wanted Pages section (not that I get much time for that around here, lol).
I can make you admin as soon as you make a single edit there, because otherwise it says your name doesn't exist on the wiki. :( My Spanish isn't exactly great (I took 4 years of Spanish, but haven't used the language in over a decade), but I already admin on the Spanish SH wiki, and do a lot of work on the Spanish F.E.A.R. wiki, so I figured I'd make a Spanish version of this too.
Sounds good to me. and I can read spanish really well, and speak it ok, but my sentence structure sucks hardcore. But it's my second language and the first I heard in my house. Of course, that's good old Tex Mex.
Let me go make the edit over there for you though ^.^
My brother in law is Hispanic and doesn't speak a word of Spanish, while his grandmother doesn't speak English, so that seems pretty common down here. :P
One question, I know the official term for "werewolf" is "hombre-lobo", but is there a more commonly used word? And is the plural "hombres-lobos", or "hombre-lobos"? I must admit, I've never gotten much chance to talk about werewolves in Spanish, lol. I'll leave Lycans as it is, since the series pretty much invented that word anyway, and "vampires" will be "vampiros". Sound good?
Okay, I looked it up. Hombre lobo is the official term, and lobo feroz is used for any kind of animated wolf. At least, that's what Wikipedia says. :P Apparently, the plural is Hombres lobo, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but oh well... lol
I'm sure someone will try, lol. When I first started putting together the Spanish SH wiki, some genius came along to make 1 edit and whine about my Spanish. I then promptly informed him that he can fix that by making more than 1 single edit. I wrote it in English just to piss him off too. :P
Hi there I notice you've done some editing to the profile for the character of Bolt, it's good someone finally made some changes, but when it comes to work that i put together in the first place, please talk to me about what changes your going to make before, you make those changes, i feel really strongly about the Bolt profile, it's one of the best profiles there is, it was my own original ideas i got from the computer game its self. Plus I'm a writer with a very creative mind, just talk or leave a message for me about the changes, thats all, thanks for making the profile better.
Are you telling me that Bolt is a fan fic article? And forgive me, there is no protection on the page either as far as the editing of that page. I was not told either that no one was allowed to make changes on the page (and if I made them it was to make the article more concise or to make better sense.) As you can see from my edit, nothing of great importance was erased, and nothing was added that would cause a great impact on the page.
If you have an issue with anyone editing that page I suggest you take it up with an admin, OR you can take it up with me since I am an admin. I see no problems with people editing any pages since they are a part of a wiki community. Again, if this is a fan fic page, I need to know.
Ok, I'll take your advice and keep what you've told me in mind, when it comes to the characters from the computer game Underworld: The Eternal War, unless you've got the game like i have, then if your going to make a profile for a Eternal war character, you need to be creative, and in the process of making a eternal war character profile, some of it might need to be fan fiction, as it's got nothing to do with the film series, the novel series, comics, it's just to the game it's self. I don't think it's completey fan fiction, when i first put together the Bolt profile last year, I was just going by what happens in the 7th level on the Lycans side, then all i need was make a story out of it, i couldn't think of any other way to put the story together, i mean you tell me how any of us are meant to put together a profile for a character that doesn't have much of a profile, who isn't part of a film, t.v show, novel or comic, but is only part of a computer game, how do you deal with a computer game character, tell me because I'm keen to know, as for fan fiction, i really think the rules of there been no fan fiction on Underworld wiki is stupid, but thats just what i think but I'm willing to live by the rules.
Regardless of how little content there is, fan fiction is not allowed. I also run 3 other wikis where almost all of the articles are about video game characters, and it can be done. Every legit wiki doesn't allow fan fiction (unless the wiki is specifically for that), so it's far from just here where you'll be told not to add anything of your own creation.
To be honest, I have no idea as I have not played any of the video games. I have only seen the movies. If you hadn't mentioned that you created the profile, neither Alessa or myself would have ever known it wasn't canonical.
If you could try to edit it to where it sounds more like an encyclopedic article as opposed to prose or a short story it would be more acceptable. After all, the wiki is meant to be like an encyclopedia created and edited by users. ^.^
