Is it possible that Sonja was born when her mother was human and then, when she reached adulthood, was turned herself?
I agree that 'Transgenic siblings might be a little confusing to newcomers to the franchise :/ I'm not sure about 'co-progeny'; it almost ends up sounding like 'progeny' is a title that has to earned/granted rather than anything else.
I think that you're right that the relevance should be decided on a case-by-case basis; to me at least, it is relevant for Selene and Semira because the one-sided rivalry does seem to drive a fair amount of the plot in Blood Wars.
In regards to Eve; her list of relatives is long but, on the other hand, if Viktor is still listed off as an adoptive father to Selene then shouldn't he, his blood relatives etc be listed off as Eve's relatives as well?
I think Viktor had been a vampire for quite a while when Sonja was born, and I can’t imagine him taking a human wife.
It’s probably best to go with “brother/sister though a common sire.” It would be cool to have a single word, but it seems like most people should understand that phrase. Unless somebody thinks of some awesome word that I don’t know about.
We could list Viktor and Lucian as Eve’s family members, but what would we call them? Grandsires? Adoptive grandfather, in Viktor’s case?
