If Michael has been killed off you can blame the writers, Anne Foerster probably didn't get a say in the plot.

True but if Michael is killed, then I blame the director and the writers.
I'm pretty sure when it comes to final say the order is Studio, Producers, Writers and then Director. The only exception is if the writer also happens to be the director. Or the director is also a producer. Then you can give the director grief for messing things up (other than the directing). But she seems to be director only so don't hold studio, writer and producer decisions against her. I already have a beef with her directing from the trailers
