It's a beautiful thing to see Kate Beckinsale returning as vampire warrioress Selene for the fourth installment of the Underworld films. Nobody thought the series would still be going at this point, but the trailer for Underworld: Awakening was just released, with the film coming out on January 20th, 2012. It's the first Underworld movie in 3D and the first to be directed by Swede Måns Mårlind.
When the announcement for this film was made in 2010, the following synopsis was provided:
“After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene learns that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.”
Hope you're excited as I am, although I'm always skeptical of the 3D these days. Speaking of 3D remakes/sequels, if you're interested in the new Conan movie and/or the Conan comics, head on over to the Conan Wiki for a chance to win limited edition comics signed by Roy Thomas!
